TITLE: Of Catecholamines and Homeostasis
FANDOM: House, M.D.
LENGTH/RATING: 100 words, PG-13
SHIPS/WARNINGS: none
SUMMARY: Homeostasis: The ability of an organism or cell to maintain internal equilibrium. Catecholamines: Any of a group of amines derived from catechol that have important physiological effects as neurotransmitters and hormones and include epinephrine, norepinephrine, and dopamine.

Watching House teach is like watching a badger herd sheep, it works, but it's a unique definition of 'works'.

Wilson leans against the second floor railing, half-empty coffee in hand, looking down on the carnage. Surviving House has become an unofficial badge of honor; for every terrified student, there's another leaning into the questions, fighting for the chance to be 'not quite as stupid as you look' or 'useful for something other than Soylent Green'.

But it's the ones that do neither that Wilson watches, between sips of lukewarm coffee, because surviving House isn't the same as learning from him.
